SANCTIONS & RESTRICTED BUSINESS / NARROW SEA
Sanctions screening and restricted business
The parties, vessel, cargo and voyage may require further checks before an enquiry can proceed.
Information that supports screening
Provide accurate vessel identifiers and the relevant ownership, management, applicant, cargo and route details. Underwriting may request further information to distinguish parties with similar names or clarify an ownership or trading relationship.
The platform uses sanctions-list checks as part of its review process. An automated result is not a final determination of eligibility and does not replace the applicable compliance and underwriting review.
A possible match requires review
A similar name is not, by itself, confirmation that a person or organisation is listed. A potential match may pause the enquiry while further information is reviewed. Do not treat an absence of a displayed match as confirmation that a voyage or party is eligible.
A route appearing on the website, or a calculator returning an indication, does not mean the risk can be accepted. Applicable restrictions and the proposed insurance arrangements must be assessed for the specific enquiry.
Ask about a specific enquiry
This page is a description of the review process, not a complete list of restricted countries, parties, goods or activities, and not legal advice. Lists and restrictions can change. Use current authoritative information and obtain advice relevant to your circumstances.
For an enquiry already submitted, include its reference when contacting support@narrowsea.com. Do not send unnecessary personal or commercially sensitive information in an initial email.
